- I / Adjectives and adverbs: Example: 1. My Tam is a beautiful singer. She sings beautifully 2.They are careful drivers. They drive carefully.
- - Change the adjectives into adverbs. Then use the adverbs to complete the sentences : Adjective Adverb - extreme extremely - good well - happy happily - sad sadly - slow slowly
- Use the adverbs to complete the sentences. extremely happily sadly well slowly a) Hoa was extremely pleased that she got an A for her assignment. b) The old man walked ........... toslowly the park. c) Tuan sighed ....sadly when he heard that he failed the test. d) The baby laughed .....happily As she played with her toys. e) Mrs. Nga speaks English quite .....well
- II / Adverb clauses of reason Because = since = as Example: 1. He failed the exam. He is too lazy He failed the exam because/ since/ as he is too lazy 2. Lan is late for school. She misses the bus Lan is late for school because/ since/ asshe misses the bus
